Thai Yoga Massage
Often called ‘lazy person’s yoga’, traditional Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient healing system that combines broad and targeted acupressure, stimulation and manipulation of energy lines and assisted yoga postures – all while you are fully relaxed and breathing deeply. Sounds pretty great, right? We agree!
This therapy uses no oils or lotions and you remain fully clothed during your session. Performed on a thick floor mat, there is constant body contact between you and your therapist – however, rather than massaging individual muscles, your therapist will be gently stretching, compressing, pulling, bending and rocking your body – in order to clear energy blockages and relieve tension.
Your therapist will use thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, knees and feet to create a symphony of movement along your body. In this process, joints are opened, muscles and tendons are stretched, internal organs are toned, and energy is balanced. The overall effect is one of deep relaxation, rejuvenation, and physical and mental well being!
